Guidelines
ICT is the backbone of modern humanitarian work. It is
important that all humanitarian workers in Iraq are aware of how
to make proper use of radio telecommunications, particularly for
organisational and personal security. The United Nations has a
common services approach to this issue which includes all UN
agencies and is extended to the NGO community.
 The
World Food Programme FITTEST unit was requested to deploy the
minimum interagency ICT services upon the re-entry of the UN
humanitarian Community in Iraq and to be the Telecommunication
Coordinating Agency for six months after re-entry. In order to
ensure that all organisations working in Iraq fully understand the
systems established by FITTEST, the following resource documents
are now available.

Reports
The plan for
Provision of Common Inter-Agency Minimum ICT Services
indicates the initial plans for WFP FITTEST. FITTEST have been
providing regular inter-agency reports to the community to update
on the progress so far.
