The interactive maps provide an overview of School facilities in Basrah Governorate and the city of Basrah. These maps allow users to interactively navigate and query baseline information about Schools in Basrah Governorate. This tool is designed to address the need for collaboration between organizations working in rehabilitation efforts in the education sector. Additionally, this effort will develop a comprehensive database of baseline information and rehabilitation efforts for future use in the emerging Iraqi government in the lower south.  The interactive map is a dynamic working tool and is receiving periodic updates. Thus, the information contained on the maps should be used for reference purposes with the understanding that it is a work in progress. Future efforts are focused on the creation of similar interactive maps for Governorates in the lower south. Check  for updates and additions regularly.

Users can navigate through maps by clicking on the overview map on the right (a red box indicates your location) or by using directional arrows on the tool bar. Zoom features are also available by selecting the magnifying glass from the toolbar. Note different information can be queried by using the “i” tool at various zoom levels.
